"your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow "

I think that this quote means that the future is shaped by how you act now not in the future. For example if you're good spirited now you will be later on in life, if your not that you won't in the future.

“There is no justification ever for choosing any part of what you know to be evil

I think this means if you know it’s wrong then simply don’t do it. this means if someone asks you to lie for them, and you know its not good then don't do it. Also if you do something wrong make up for it and tell someone that you did it. Chances are if  you man up about it they'll give you a break or a second chance.

When you feel confused about something you’re reading, write down any questions you have. Sometimes your questions are answered as you read further. When you have specific questions, your teachers can provide answers that will help you further understand the material. The philosopher Sir Francis Bacon said, “Knowledge is power” improving your reading comprehension.

Reading
Literary critics have written vast numbers of analytical and critical pieces on countless books. If you’re having trouble understanding a particular text, do some research and see what recourses have to say about it. In addition to increasing your comprehension you’ll be showing initiative, something teachers always like to see.
Make sure you have access to a dictionary. You can often figure out a meaning for a word by using context clues, but sometimes you can’t. Rather than skipping over the words you don’t know look them up and gain further understanding of the book.

I think this quote is kind of self-explanatory if you do something you feel isn’t right, it most likely isn’t.

Reading
Reading and writing go hand and hand. The better you understand a text, the more likely you are to communicate your thoughts about writing.
1.  ANNOTATE
Be an active reader. Instead of passively reading a text, take notes about the important themes or morals in the book.
2.  NOTE THE AUTHORS WRITING STYLE
Every author writes with a purpose, using deliberate methods to successfully relate specific information to the audience. When you’re reading look for signs of how the author writes.

5 Tips for Staying Motivated
Tips 1-2
To succeed in high school and college, you have to do your best at all times. But sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated, even when you really care about what you’re doing. Here are 5 ways to stay focused.
1.   The key to success is to stay focused on your course work. Make a list so you get an idea of the workload before you tackle any of it. Although it’s tempting to do the simplest tasks first, those take more time and effort and the ones you work most on. To assign your priorities  list your chores in order of most importance, then devote more time to those chores. For example studying for a mid-term is more important than writing a essay for English. As you complete each task, think of it as another great leap towards college.
2.   Changing your approach. If you have a similar project like you’ve done in the past do same thing.

Flash cards bound like this act like a small book with pages. Get together with friends and classmates to study and quiz each other, compare notes and predict test questions.

·       Reinforce what you’ve learned during that day
·       Build study habits that are essential in college
·       Prepare for your classes
·       Get a sense of progress
Here are some tips to help you deal with homework more efficiently and effectively.
Create a good study area with everything you need. If you don’t have a quite place at home, try your home or local library.
Make a list of everything you need to know, and note all deadlines. Do the more difficult assignments first, so you don’t have to face them at the end.
Even if you don’t have homework every night, use your time to review notes. Also you’ll become a pro at using your time productively.

Alcatraz

Alcatraz Island is located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) offshore from San Francisco, California, United States. Often referred to as "The Rock," the small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison (1868), and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963. Beginning in November 1969, the island was occupied for more than 19 months by a group of Aboriginal Peoples from San Francisco who were part of a wave of Native activism across the nation with public protests through the 1970s. In 1972 Alcatraz became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
Today, the island's facilities are managed by the National Park Service as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area; it is open to tours. Visitors can reach the island by ferry ride from Pier 33, near Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. Hornblower Cruises and Events, operating under the name Alcatraz Cruises, is the official ferry provider to and from the island. Hornblower launched the nation's first hybrid propulsion ferry in 2008, the Hornblower Hybrid, which now serves the island, docking at the Alcatraz Wharf.

He should of just maned up and admitted it. He had very good potential in his sport, but he had to throw it away by using performance enhancers. It looked as if he was so good at doing what he did. Distance Education: Is a Virtual Classroom for You?
Part 1
You may want to take a class that high school doesn’t offer. Under some circumstances, you can still enroll in the class—through distance learning.
Distance education means taking a class where you don’t have to be physically present where it is being taught.
Some high schools agree to recognize distance-learning credits when they don’t have the resources to offer a course themselves.
For you, it might mean doing self-tutorial at home or in the evening, or participating in a class that’s far away
